Preparing for Penny

So it’s been a busy and lazy week for me.  Being in my 36th week, I am feeling even more tired and new symptoms include my hands and feet swelling and just difficulty walking around.  She is getting heavier… and moving a ton, which I think are good things.  I can’t wait to meet her.

This past week, MH assembled one of the gifts from our baby shower a couple of weeks ago – a changing table.  It turned out kind of massive!  But it is now holding all of the other baby gifts and items.

I had received a ton of used and new clothes so I laundered them this past week.  Isn’t this sock so cute!!  I already lost the other pair to them… and Penny isn’t even born yet!  I am hoping to find it in the dryer.

This past weekend I went down south with the parentals to Washington to do some baby shopping – things are WAY cheaper down there.  While I was away MH did some nesting and rearranged some of our furniture to accommodate all the new baby furniture.  We aren’t assembling the crib for another couple of months after she is born as we will be using a bassinet for the first 3 months.  I can’t believe we only have 4 more weeks to go!

Do you have any useful advice for new parents to be?  Especially with baby items and furniture… etc?
