It’s been over a year since I have written a new blog post. I have learned a lot in the past year and am still learning so much about life with two kids, running a household, managing to be creative and continuing in ministry through different seasons. I have often struggled with making sure that I am doing all these things with a purpose, not just for fun or because I have to, but because of my love for Jesus. I know that my faith will not be a popular subject or might even turn people off… but if you want to know the person behind the pieces that you have purchased or are considering purchasing, you have to know that Jesus is the reason why I do anything. I am not perfect, in fact, I am stubborn and have to be taught the same lessons over and over, but thankfully, God is continually refining me and teaching me how to live this life centred Him.
I have met so many amazing, friendly and supportive people through craft markets, which is where I have been putting my focus in terms of Virukka Gifts! And this is the reason why I have decided to revive this little blog of mine. Hopefully this will be a place where you can get to know me a bit more, where I can share what I am learning, where you can get updates about new pieces, promotions and markets! Please have patience with me, I take long breaks to make sure I focus on my kids, husband and ministry, and not my phone, iPad, or computer! The struggle is real! But thanks for visiting and for those I have met in person, thanks for the love and support 🙂 I am so grateful!
Is anyone else ready for spring?
I am so ready for warm days and flip flops.
Not to mention having the sun out past 5pm.
I have been filling out forms for upcoming craft fairs for this year.
I”m crossing my fingers that I’ll get into some good ones.
And that I’ll be able to balance my time with two babies 🙂
Excited to get to be creative again!
Hoping to share projects on this blog soon.
I have been on a bit of a break lately.
Only 15 more days till my due date.
Our family can’t wait to meet this new little one in my belly.
I hope to have some projects to share here soon – once I get the energy up to take pictures 🙂
And some new pieces too.
In the meantime, enjoy this LOVE month…
And share the love with all those around you.
It’s raining today. But for the last several days we have been so blessed with beautiful sunshine! We have filled these days with walking in the park, the woods, the beach. I am trying to enjoy every moment with her as she continues to grow up (too fast). Hoping that you have a great weekend ahead!
Yesterday, we had a much needed family day. It had been a very hot and sunny week… until Mother’s Day. But I feel so blessed that when we went out today it was actually nice again… and after lunch, it started to rain – and that was our cue to go home. We dressed in our pajamas and watched movies in bed for the rest of the day. I don’t remember when the last time we did that was… but so ready and refreshed for the week! Happy Tuesday!
As with all things, I am pretty sure that Mother’s Day will be here before I know it. Since both my mom and m.i.l. are now living close by, I really want to keep it sweet and simple! The plan is either fresh cut flowers or handmade tissue flowers in pretty little vases and a card from Penny and I… and maybe something sweet too! What do you have planned for mother’s day?
Here’s a few other ideas and inspirations I’m loving throughout the web…
Did some rock shopping during my trip! Can’t wait to share some of what God allowed me to experience and learn during my three week trip to the Philippines. But that will have to wait for another time. For now, have a great weekend!
